08/02/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Bo continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At 2B, defensive abilities are now well above average as he displays smooth / clean actions. Hands are clean and presents well out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks and plays through with his body. Range is a plus as he utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in covering a lot ground through his lateral movements. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through an open, athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable, a very hard worker, and is a gamer.

06/11/2017 - College PREP - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Bo is a stocky, strong 2B/OF who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.16. At 2B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through well with his body. Hands are soft / sure and he presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but will benefit by playing through balls with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. With 2 years to further develop, Bo has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
