01/07/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (AZ) Boaz is a solid two-way (SS/RHP) in the class of 2022. His skill set was recently on display at the AZ Preseason. In the field, he continues to shine. He athletic set up and pre-pitch steps allows his hands and feet to work well together. He positions himself to correctly read and attack hops with advanced pocket awareness. His transfers are quick and smooth and is balanced in his throwing position. His feeds are accurate and to his target. At the plate, he has solid intentions. He is compact and short to the baseball. He tracks well and stays in the middle of the field. Makes solid contact and proves to handle velo. Boaz is a gamer and works very hard at his craft. A true competitor and high character individual who will be a college coaches dream at the next level.

06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Boaz is a SS/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the All-State Tournament. In the field, Boaz moves light on his feet and gets into an athletic position. He fields the ball out in front of his body and has a clean exchange. He gains ground well on his throws, keeping them on-line across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He gets back into his load well and gets good extension through the ball, producing strong contact. On the mound, Boaz gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and stays inline toward the plate. Boaz operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 75mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 58-59mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 66-67mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Boaz is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Boaz is an athletic SS/RHP in the class of 2022 who continues to progress. At SS, he showed a good feel for the position while attacking GB's aggressively. He shows the ability to finish plays as he has a quick transfer firing strong/accurate throws across the diamond. He shows his athleticism and has the ability to throw from multiple arm slots. Offensively, he sets up in a relaxed position with active hands to load. He has a controlled rhythm helping create an on-plane swing path. He squares the ball up consistently, hitting hard line-drives back up the middle of the field. On the mound, he shows the ability to pound the zone with strikes. FB ranged 73-76 with tail and CB had 11-5 shape. He pitches to contact and gives his defense a chance. This 2022 grad has a great feel for the game with upside.

10/11/2020 - All-In Membership - Visalia, CA Boaz is a tall, lean SS/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.14 60 time. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, he showed a controlled / repeatable delivery that allows his arm action to work well to the plate. Fastball showed range of 75-76 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break and is a quality pitch. He maintains arm speed on his cutter with short break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Boaz has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
