09/22/2024 - National Showcase - Trenton, NJ Bobby is a 2028 catcher and right-handed pitching prospect who showcases impressive skills and potential. Behind the plate, he displays good agility and footwork, maintaining a square secondary stance. With soft hands, he tracks pitches well and demonstrates effective blocking techniques. He gains ground to his target, making accurate throws with an arm velocity of 84 mph and achieving a best pop time of 2.15 seconds. On the mound, he maintains good direction and focus on his target, exhibiting a controlled landing while utilizing a four-pitch repertoire that includes a fastball, curveball, changeup, and knuckleball. At the plate, he begins in an upright stance and utilizes an on-time stride, driving his backside through the swing and finishing high, consistently squaring up baseballs to all fields with a bat exit velocity of up to 82 mph. As a freshman two-way prospect, he has significant upside and a bright future in baseball.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
