11/05/2009 - West Coast Select Training - 2009 Bolt is a young, 2013 graduate that shows as a two-way player as a catcher plus at 3B with an athletic body displaying projection as he continues to physically matures. Foot speed is well below average as he must get on a speed / agility program to improve foot quickness for the next level. Feet are active in working in line with his target showing proper direction as he gains ground. Transfer / exchange are efficient showing pop time range of 2.28-2.44 through average arm strength with accuracy on his throws. He needs to get on a strict long toss program to aid in further developing more arm strength lowering pop times. Receiving and blocking skills are solid average showing potential to be quality tools at the next level. At 3B, defensive skills are solid average displaying a low approach in fielding the baseball. He is aggressive in coming to get, playing through the ball with his feet and hands as he displays a solid glove action, presented down / out in front of his body. At the plate, Seymour has slightly above average abilities with average power through a balanced approach. Hands work direct to the baseball showing some feel for the barrel. Power numbers will increase as he learns to load more, transferring weight properly through his lower half. With 3 years to further develop, Bolt has abilities with time and room to improve.
