05/27/2012 - College PREP - Tampa, FL Bradley is a young, OF who will gradual in 2014. In the OF, Bradley has playable hands and feet, and he tracks the ball well. He makes the routine plays, his exchange is clean, and he throws with carry and accuracy to his target. Quicker feet, not drifting, and fielding further out in front, will help defensive abilities get better. At the plate, Bradley has a tall / square set-up, a short / square stride, and he tracks the ball well. He makes square contact, he can spray to all fields, and he gets his lower 1/2 through. Hitting can improve if Bradley can keep his hands high, loosen his grip, and level off his swing.

05/23/2010 - College PREP - Tampa, FL Bradley is a young, average built, 2-way player that plays OF and RHP. He currently projects better in the OF than on the mound but still has a lot of time to improve at both positions. In the OF, Bradley makes plays on balls hit his way and he uses the hops properly. He has some accuracy to his target with a bit of carry. Defensive abilities can improve if Bradley can lighten his feet, quicken his actions, and with more repetitions. On the mound, Bradley has okay balance throughout his delivery and shows some arm strength. His workout was Brad's first time off a 60 foot mound. Bradley will need to avoid throwing across his body and work on a downhill plane for pitching to improve. At the plate, Bradley makes good contact and has raw power. He swings down to contact, is a hard pull hitter, and he makes good use of his lower 1/2. Hitting can get better by working the ball to all fields and by avoiding spinning off the ball.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
