Official Scouting Report

  • 4Class Rating
  • LHP/OFPosition Projection

09/27/2023 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic (2024) Brady is a tall, athletic OF/LHP who has a promising future on the diamond. On the mound, he works through sound, repeatable delivery and a quick tempo. Fastball showed a range of 80-82 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with downward break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is solid as the attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding ashe takes good first steps in reading balls off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. He utilizes foot quickness (7.35 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. At the plate he continues shine, displaying outstanding hitting / power potential through an athletic, open setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a short / direct / level swing path, creating extension. He has strength in his swing and he works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. Brady has an upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
