With an easy sit and agile setup, he effectively sticks the ball with his thumb under, ensuring a clean transfer that allows him to gain ground, achieving a best pop time of 2.15 seconds and arm velocity of up to 85 mph. He shows quick reactions on blocks and recover. At the plate, he employs a short stride with activated hands, generating a fast barrel that produces hard line drives to all fields at speeds up to 82 mph. As a rising junior, he has significant upside and the opportunity to continue developing his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
