08/08/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Brady is an athletic catcher, with tremendous speed (6.74 60 yard dash). Behind the plate, he has fluid footwork, a quick exchange to throw and a stiff wrist that allows him to frame pitches well. Setting up earlier, showing his glove and staying low to receive will help with pitch framing/blocking. At the plate, he sets up in a crouched stance with good balance/rhythm and gets his hands into a very good load position, allowing him to spray line drives all over the field. Brady is a special type of catching prospect who is coachable and works very hard at his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
