Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • RHP/1BPosition Projection

02/19/2023 - National Showcase - Keizer (Salem), OR Brady is a 2027 RHP/1B prospect. At 5'11", he has a slender lean frame with room to grow and fill out. In the field, he has active feet and shows off good range. He gets into a nice low, athletic fielding position and fields the ball out in front with firm hands. Displayed a nice backhand and has good bag awareness. He makes accurate throws across the diamond from first. Works to have a quick release. At the plate, he features a squared stance and short stride. He gets a good load and has good balance over the center of his body. Does a good job of finishing his swing with hips and lower half. Exhibited the ability to spray line drives to all fields including going the other way. Tries hard to stay on the ball and have a level swing. On the mound, Brady has a good front side and solid mechanics. Does a good job of working down plane with a proper stride length and has a nice clean arm action. He works to get his lower half involved to finish out in front. Still young and displays a lot of potential, especially projecting out his growth. He has a good feel for the release point for his curveball and demonstrated good, gradual break. Works to have a bigger speed differential between his FB and CH. Excited to see Brady at future events.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
