07/18/2024 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (HS) Braiden showed as a catcher at the National World series event. At the plate is where he shows best an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach, spraying the ball to all fields. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 3 for 8. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner and improve lateral movement. Pop times showed in 2.30 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss. He is very coachable and dedicated, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous improvement.

12/17/2023 - National Showcase - Tomball (Houston), TX Braiden is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2025. He works from right to left and closes distance on batted balls. Shows good glove actions and hands work out front. Made consistent throws across the diamond with an arm velocity up to 75mph. A right-handed hitter who sets up in an athletic and open stance. Shows fluid timing and a compact swing. He hits into a firm front side and keeps his weight between his knees. Has a good bat angle at contact with ability to hit balls hard to the pull side.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
