08/15/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Tennessee, TN Brandon is a standout player with a versatile skill set. His tall, slender build gives him an athletic edge both in the field and at the plate. His fielding skills—solid range, athletic hands, and accuracy—are impressive and suggest he could excel in various positions. Offensively, his ability to rack up multiple base hits, including an inside-the-park home run and a ground rule double, shows he has both power and speed. His square stance with good balance and barrel contact indicates a strong, effective hitting approach. On the mound, his fastball velocity of 60-65 mph, topping out at 66 mph, shows room for growth with additional strength and conditioning. His breaking ball, sitting at 52-54 mph with a small horizontal break, provides a good complement to his fastball. Leveraging his confidence in his two-pitch mix will be key to keeping hitters off balance and enhancing his effectiveness. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
