08/04/2010 - College Prep Super Regional - Mattoon, IL - PM Brandon is a young, Catcher that will graduate in 2012. Behind the plate, Brandon has a narrow stance, he looks the ball in, and he lets it travel. He gives good effort when blocking, and throws with some accuracy to his target. Abilities behind the plate can improve with a more stiff wrist, better footwork, and improved blocking skills. At the plate, Brandon is an aggressive hitter with some pop in his bat. He has good balance and he puts the ball in play. Brandon will need to quicken his hands and avoid pulling off the ball in order to get better offensively.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
