07/28/2021 - All-In Membership - San Bernardino, CA Brandon is an athletic OF/C who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way. Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws (87 mph velocity) on a line through his target. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. Range is a plus as indicated by his 60 time of 6.99. Behind the dish, he presents firm mitt sticking pitches in zone. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Receiving/blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. Pop times showed in the 1.95 range with carry on his throws. At the plate, he continues to shine displaying excellent hitting abilities with outstanding power potential. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery (89 mph exit velocity) is short/quick with aggression as he stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. With 2 years to further develop, Brandon has a lot of potential and will get looks from collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
