07/01/2013 - 2013 Under Armour Firecracker Classic 16U Participant Tall, lanky body with long arms and room to grow. Consistent fb 82-84, topped at 87. Late arm run. Curveball 74-75 with sharp 11/5 break. Changeup 76 with average drop. Quick reactions and fields position well. Goes after hitters with fb, pounding zone in and out. When up in count, curveball is his strikeout pitch. Keeps the ball down. Good arm action, consistent release point at 3/4.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
