07/10/2021 - All-In Membership - Jupiter, FL Brandon is an OF/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2022. In the field, Brandon shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate/on-line throws to his target. Long tossing can help Brandon build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes his stride on time. He gets into his load and maintains balance throughout his swing, spraying the ball to all fields. Brandon can create more consistent contact by working through a shorter, more level swing. On the mound, Brandon gathers over the rubber and works with a loose arm. He stays inline toward the plate and extends through his release, finishing square to his target. Brandon operates with a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 74mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 61-63mph with 11-5 break. Driving his lower half more can help Brandon increase his pitch velocity. Overall, Brandon is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
