12/27/2010 - Christmas Camp and Tournament 2010 - Session 2 Brandon showed athletic actions both behind the plate, and on the mound during his time at Pirate City. He showed good hands and footwork, and he receives the ball well. Brandon stays in front of the ball well when blocking, his exchange is efficient, and he throws with decent accuracy to his target. He showed his best pop time to date, registering a 2.15. Abilities on the mound showed a FB ranging from 71 to 76 MPH, a controlled balance point, and a solid / athletic finish. Brandon has a long arm circle, downhill shoulders, and he throws strikes. His curveball is a very good pitch as it is thrown with tight spin and late break and projects out to be a good pitch at the next level. He has a nice rhythm to his delivery and with increased velocity, he has some further upside on the mound. At the plate, Brandon had an aggressive approach, decent set-up, and he showed the ability to hit to all fields.
