10/20/2010 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic - 2010 Brandon had an outstanding tournament at the Arizona Junior Fall Classic. He went 4 for 9 on the weekend with three doubles and proved to be a very teachable player with a lot of leadership ability. Arm strength needs to improve in the infield, but if he can do that, he can be a dependable fielder. Good instincts and solid overall athleticism. At the plate, his power is mainly to the pull side. He is strong, and has an aggressive approach. He gets loaded up effectively as well. He is very rotational which spins him off of contact. Would like to see him stay closed longer to open up the whole field to him. He pays the game hard and has good instincts overall. Going to be a nice addition to a college program.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
