12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic Brandon is a C/3B in the class of 2026 out of Illinois. At C, he tracked balls to his mitt very well when receiving and blocked the ball well due to lateral athleticism and proper mechanics. His throw down foot work was in line with 2B and his throws were accurate to the bag. At the plate, he used a balanced square stance with good timing to explode his lower half through the zone and get his barrel on plane with the ball. His bat path enabled him to make hard consistent contact to all fields with gap to gap power. Brandon could benefit from programs/drills such as long toss, strength training, bands, speed & agility.

10/03/2021 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Lake Zurich (Chicago), IL Brandon continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.13 with accuracy / carry (80 mph velocity) on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He tracks ball well in the mitt, sticking balls in zone. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. At 3B, defensive abilities are now solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he continues to increase foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

Academic All-American Tournament (MS) Brandon is a class of 2026 C/3B prospect. In the field, he showed good footwork at both positions as well as a strong arm. Had very quick and clean exchanges on his throw downs in game action. Did a good job of blocking for his pitchers throughout the weekend. At the plate, he showed very impressive hand speed. Started from a square and athletic stance and did a very good job getting into a load. Controlled his barrel well and showed a good swing plane with extension. Worked with a gap-to-gap approach. Brandon is a talented young prospect that we hope to see more of in the future.

09/20/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Schaumburg (Chicago), IL Brandon is an athletic catcher who will graduate in 2026. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body during the blocking process centering balls out front. Pop times showed in the 2.59 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the baseball quicker. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. He is aggressive as he attacks balls through a level swing path. Hands are quick and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. With 6 years to further develop, Brandon has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
