06/27/2010 - Team One South 2010 Brandon is a long, lean, 2-way player that plays OF and RHP. He currently projects better in the OF as he approach his Senior year. Brandon attacks the ball aggressively and he makes plays on balls hit his way. He reads the ball well off the bat and works to get behind the ball. Brandon plays through the ball well and throws to his target with carry. Defensive abilities can improve with less wasted movements and quicker feet. On the mound, Brandon has good movement on his FB which he throws from a side arm slot. He works both sides of the plate, has good mound effectiveness, and he gets outs. If Brandon can avoid throwing across his body, we could see an increase in velocity. Offensively, Brandon has good balance and bat speed. He has a level swing, he can hit to all fields, and he centers the ball well. Brandon has good power into the gaps, and can get even better with more direct hands to the ball and by getting his front foot down sooner.
