08/01/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Myrtle Beach, SC Brandon is a talented and highly skilled 3B/C who recently performed well at the Ripken Games in Myrtle Beach, SC. Defensively, he has great feet in the infield and collected outs on ground balls in under 5.53 seconds. Shows explosiveness with an 86-inch broad jump and strong hands with grip strength at 85 pounds. Arm works well and is accurate to his targets. On the mound, his FB sat 63-5 with life. His CB ranged 58-60 with solid arm speed. CH comes out of the hand well and has aggressive rotation. Had a solid week at the plate with 4 hits (2 extra base) and several quality at-bats. He has plus strike zone awareness and a quick bat. He hustles on the bases and shows a real feel for the game. Overall, Brandon improved with each inning and game during the tourney and scouts think he has a bright future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
