08/30/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Cooperstown, NY Bransen participated in the All-Ripken games for Team Liberty, showcasing his versatility by playing multiple positions in the field. On the mound, his fastball worked downhill with minimal movement at 41 mph, complemented by a changeup at 37 mph. His mechanics displayed balance and loose arm action, but as he continues to develop, focusing on repeating his delivery and building overall strength will be essential. At the plate, Bransen demonstrated good hand-eye coordination, putting several balls in play and applying pressure to the defense. During his load and stride phase, it’s important for him to maintain a short stride toward the pitcher, as he showed a tendency to step out, which can pull his bat out of the hitting zone. With continued refinement in these areas, Bransen has the potential to make significant strides in his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
