11/02/2023 - Baseball Factory Fall Select Tournament at JRTC Branson is an ambidextrous switch-hitting P/1B in the 2027 class. In the field, he has the trust factor to make the routine play look routine. He likes to work through the baseball and does a solid job of reading hops. On the mound, he sits 61-63 from both sides. His FB tends to stay down in the zone and working to stay closed will allow for increased strike ratio. His CG shaped 10-4 from the right and 2-8 from the left. Both sat in the 49 velo range. At the plate, he shows equal ability from each side. He produces contact from both sides and can spray the baseball to all fields. Hits off a firm front side and gains solid rotation. Overall, Branson is an unique prospect and with a strong dedication to the game, he can have a fine career.

09/17/2023 - National Showcase - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Branson is a strong LHP/RHP/1B who will graduate in 2027. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, from the left side, fastball shows range of 61-63 mph. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual. From the right side, fastball shows a range of 59-60 mph. Breaking balls displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 4 years to further develop, Branson had potential with time and room to progress his game.
