10/07/2015 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Braxton showed at SS plus on the mound for the first time at the event and continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Currently, he projects best at SS for the next level. At the plate is where he has improved the most, now showing outstanding power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a short / direct swing path as he stays inside the ball utilizing all fields. He has strength in his swing, displaying gap to gap power. At SS, he shows proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. He attacks ground balls and moves well laterally, displaying range. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process and he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the event, he was 3 for 10 with a 2B and consistently put the ball in play. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 78-80 mph with sinking action through a loose / free arm action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with early break as he needs to work to stay on top of pitch. Control is a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches, working to get ahead of hitters. He shows good mound presence and is very competitive on the bump. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength is gained through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great attitude, is a great teammate and is very coachable as he works hard to be the best player he can.
