12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory Holiday Classic at Pirate City Brayden is a committed catcher from Harrodsburg, KY, in the 2025 graduating class who worked hard to improve his skills at the Baseball Factory Pirate City camp. Behind the plate, he presents a strong target with a loud mitt, and he is quick to replace his feet on throws to second base, with a best pop time of 2.27 seconds. Brayden creates good blocking angles and centers the baseball well, showcasing solid defensive fundamentals. At the plate, he starts in a tall, open stance and does a great job of activating his hands with a flat barrel path. During live game action, he reached base six times—recording three singles, two walks, and getting hit by a pitch. With another season of development, Brayden will continue to refine his skills and elevate his game even further.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
