12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory East Coast Winter Classic (MS) Brayden continues to show promise as a prospect, highlighted by his improved foot speed (running his best 60 time to date). At shortstop, he exhibits smooth, fluid actions, aggressively attacking the ball and playing through it with his body. Although his glove work is clean, presenting it more out front will refine his defense, and his range will grow as he boosts foot quickness. Offensively, Brayden stands out with a squared setup, quick hands, and an aggressive swing path that helps him stay inside the ball and drive it to all fields through a line-drive approach, supported by an aggressive hip turn in his lower half. On the mound, he has shown improved arm strength, reaching a top velocity of 73 mph, with a fastball ranging 68–73 mph that features tailing action, along with an 11/5 breaking ball and a changeup that maintains arm speed and slight sink. As he continues a long toss program to further build arm strength, his pitching stock will rise. Brayden’s mental makeup also shines—he is highly coachable, demonstrates a positive attitude, and consistently works hard to become the best player he can be.
