08/25/2024 - All-In National Showcase - Long Island, NY Brayden is an athletic and physical 8th grader who showed well during his workout with us! Hitting mechanics are advanced for his age as he shows an ability to use all fields. He loads his hands to start the swing, has a good set up and on time stride, as well as a good use of his lower half. He is balanced throughout his swing and has good timing. Bat path is direct and on plane. Defensively, he has aggressive actions and a good energy in his actions at SS. He throws from a good arm slot and shows a strong arm for his age (71 mph). On the mound, Brayden throws from a downhill plane and has a nice quick tempo about him. He has a controlled landing and a clean arm action. Split finger is an excellent pitch, and he has an overall nice delivery and throws strikes with all of his pitches as well.

08/01/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Myrtle Beach, SC Brayden is a talented IF/RHP who showcased his baseball skills on the diamond. At third base, he exhibits smooth and fluid actions, using active feet to square up ground balls effectively. His glove action is firm and presents well out front, while his lateral movement is strong, with range expected to improve as he enhances his foot quickness. At the plate, he demonstrates quick hands and a level swing path, utilizing a line drive approach to hit to all fields. He plays aggressively and has a good feel for the barrel. On the mound, his fastball ranges from 67-69 mph, and his breaking ball sits at 51-52 mph with an 11/5 shape and gradual break. As he builds more arm strength through a long toss program, his stock on the mound will continue to rise. With significant potential and room for development, Brayden has a bright future ahead in the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
