07/05/2018 - California Select Training & Competition - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Brayden is an athletic and talented 2025 2-way prospect. In the OF, Brayden reads the ball off the bat well and creates angles in his routes. He's aggressive on ground balls and works behind fly balls. Continuing to work on agilities will excel his first step to the ball and his ability to re direct his body. At the plate, Brayden starts in a squared stance and gets his front foot down on time. He loads his hands back into the drive position, keeps a quiet head, and is aggressive on the fastball. Attacking the inside part of the ball will allow him to get extension thru the ball more consistently. Brayden made several adjustments throughout the week and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
