05/28/2017 - College PREP - Keizer (Salem), OR Brayden is a well-rounded OF/RHP prospect who has a tall, projectable frame and graduates in 2018. In the field, Brayden plays with effective footwork and makes all the routine plays while taking the correct angles to stay behind the baseball. He has solid glove work and a clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. Brayden plays with momentum through the baseball and has an accurate arm. Offensively, Brayden has an open stance with his weight back. He has good whip in his swing and a long swing path. Brayden is a line drive type hitter who has the ability to spray the ball to all fields. On the mound, Brayden has a balanced delivery throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He has a good leg kick and picks up his target early. He engages his hips nicely and lands closed to home plate. He features a fastball, curveball, and changeup with good arm side run. Overall, Brayden has a versatile skill set and good upside to get even better.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
