10/18/2023 - Arizona Easton Fall Classic Brayden continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Arizona Easton Fall Classic. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.16 runner. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times showed in the 2.21 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 3 for 7 with a 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

07/23/2023 - National Showcase - Trenton, NJ Brayden continues to show as a top prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process and is a wall, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed in the 2.19 with accuracy / carry (83 mph velocity) on his throws. At SS, defensive abilities are solid as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential is well above average through a tall, setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip.

03/26/2023 - National Showcase - Manalapan, NJ Brayden is a C/SS prospect who will graduate in 2027. Medium frame athletic build, with a strong lower half, and room to add throughout. At C, he showed an easy sit with quick/fluid feet and a firm wrist. Quick/athletic actions as he gains ground to second base. Works thumb under baseball keeping balls in the strike zone. A clean transfer, with a long arm action, and a high 3/4 release point and arm velocity up to 86mph and a best pop time of 2.17 seconds. In the infield, he showed a good pre-pitch routine, with active/efficient footwork, and ability to close distance on batted balls. He fields from an athletic/square fielding position, with a clean transfer, and accurate/on-line throws to first base. Showed ability to throw from multiple arm angles. A right-handed hitter, he starts with an athletic and even stance. A direct barrel path, with a good rear hip coil, and ability to keep his hands inside the baseball. A direct barrel path allows him to hit line drives consistently to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 85mph. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way prospect having opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
