08/08/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Cleveland, OH Brayden is an emerging catcher with a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, he showcases a firm mitt but needs to work on sticking pitches in the zone more effectively. He utilizes his body well in blocking but should focus on getting lower sooner. His pop times are around 2.80 seconds, with accurate throws, and these times should improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Brayden excels with a squared setup and quick hands that work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball and covers all fields with a line drive approach. Brayden has considerable potential and room to further develop his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
