He employs a solid pre-pitch routine and presents a good glove angle, demonstrating a clean exchange and a short arm stroke that allows for consistent throws to all bases, achieving an arm velocity of up to 67 mph. As a big target at first base, he effectively uses his glove, ensuring the ball sticks upon reception. At the plate, he hits from an upright stance with a short stride, maintaining a still head while tracking the ball to the bat. He makes contact to all fields, recording a bat exit velocity of up to 70 mph. As a seventh grader, he possesses both the frame and skill set to develop further, and with continued training, he has the potential to enhance his game significantly.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
