08/15/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Tennessee, TN Brayden is a lean C/RHP who impressed at the All Ripken games. Behind the plate, he shows a firm mitt and strong pocket awareness, effectively sticking pitches. His pop times are around 2.91 seconds, and he makes accurate throws; these are expected to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, Brayden maintains a square setup with good balance, consistently making contact with a line drive approach and effectively using all fields. He demonstrated a solid two-strike approach and a competitive mindset. On the mound, his fastball ranges from 52-56 mph, while his breaking ball sits at 47-48 mph with a 10/4 shape. With significant upside and room for growth, Brayden has a bright future ahead in the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
