07/18/2017 - College PREP - Highland Park (DFW), TX Braydon is a strong built RHP/3B prospect who has a versatile skill set and graduates in 2019. On the mound, Braydon pitches with intent and confidence and certainly has a pitcher's frame. He has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He lands square to home plate and rotates with his core towards his target. Braydon does a nice job finishing with his chest over his front knee. His fastball has run movement and can be effective down in the zone. His curveball is a good change of pace and his changeup is developing. In the field, Braydon shows effective pre-pitch actions and moves with active footwork. He presents his glove and creates effective angles to cover good ground. Braydon has a clean exchange leading into a long arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the baseball showing accurate throws across the diamond. Offensively, Braydon has a square stance with a solid base. He takes a load with a square stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. Braydon has a direct swing path staying short to the baseball. He is a contact type hitter with a line drive approach. Overall, Braydon is a well-rounded prospect with a good approach to the game and potential to get even better.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
