12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory Holiday Classic at Pirate City Braylon is a promising shortstop and right-handed pitcher from San Antonio, TX, in the 2027 graduating class, who worked diligently to improve his skills at the Baseball Factory Pirate City camp. Defensively, Braylon starts with a good pre-pitch stance and generally maintains a square fielding position with a low funnel. He makes accurate throws and executes solid double play feeds, though he could benefit from coming in to get the ball and fielding out front more consistently. As a left-handed hitter, Braylon shows loose hands and a square stride, getting on plane early and proving to be a tough out at the plate. In live game action, he reached base multiple times, with a single, a walk, and getting hit by two pitches. He will benefit from staying in his legs more during his swing process to improve consistency. On the mound, Braylon exudes confidence and shows a strong understanding of pitching. With controlled landings and attacking hitters with a three-pitch mix, he had three strikeouts in three innings of work. To improve his arm strength, Braylon could focus on long toss and incorporate a weight training program into his routine. As a sophomore, Braylon has plenty of time to continue growing and developing, and with further hard work, his potential is limitless.
