03/18/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Kannapolis (Charlotte), NC Brendan is a young 2-way player who pitches and plays 3B. On the mound, Brendan has a loose arm action, he keeps his eyes on target, and separates on time. He has good off-speed, lands in a square position toward home, and competes in the zone with his pitches. At 3B, Brendan has active feet, he fields in an athletic position, and his hands are firm. Brendan has a loose arm action and throws with consistency and momentum across the diamond. At the plate, Brendan has a square set-up, a proper load, and he swings in good rhythm. He has good balance, a still head, and fast bat speed through the zone. Brendan is a nice young player and can get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
