08/30/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Cooperstown, NY Brenden had an impressive performance for Team Patriots at the All-Ripken event in Cooperstown. On the mound, his fastball demonstrated excellent command, complemented by a breaking ball with noticeable vertical depth. His mechanics showcased strong arm speed, loose arm action, and a complete finish, which will be valuable as he consistently pounds the zone with his fastball and effectively utilizes his secondary pitches. At the plate, Brenden recorded multiple hits, highlighting his solid bat-to-ball skills. As he continues to develop as a player, learning to manage challenges—like dealing with calls from umpires—will be crucial in shaping his competitive mindset. Overcoming setbacks will not only enhance his performance but also strengthen his overall approach to the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
