02/17/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Lake Zurich (Chicago), IL Brett is a young, solid, 2-way player who can switch hit. Behind the plate, Brett has quiet actions, good flexibility, and he sits in squarely. He has a presentable glove, a soft chest, and he throws with momentum from a short arm action to 2nd base. At 3B, Brett gets in a good ready position, he gives good effort to the ball, and it sticks to his glove. He has a clean exchange and throws with consistency across the diamond. At the plate, Brett is equally as good from both sides of the plate. From the right, Brett stands in athletically, he has good balance, and he works the middle of the field. From the left, Brett has a still head, an aggressive swing, and he hits hard to the pull side. Brett can improve skills with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
