08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Brett is an athletic first baseman who made a strong impression with his performance at the All Ripken Games. At 1B, he moves smoothly with fluid actions, demonstrating excellent footwork around the bag and consistent receiving skills. As he enhances his foot quickness, his range will expand. His throws are accurate, but increasing his arm strength through a long toss program will elevate his overall defensive play. At the plate, Brett features a squared setup, with strong hands driving through a level swing path, showing impressive power in his swings. With significant potential for growth, Brett has a bright future ahead and big upside in the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
