01/01/2013 - 2013 Baseball Factory Top 100, powered by Under Armour Solid three-pitch repertoire includes a FB at 90-94 from a low effort delivery. Shows excellent confidence in his quality change and gets good tilt on his curveball.

08/18/2012 - Under Armour All-America Game Morales has a lean, athletic build at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds. He features a low 90s fastball and an excellent low 80s change, along with an upper 70s breaking ball with depth. His three pitch mix is among the best in the 2013 class, and he has excellent feel for pitching to go along with it. His arm works from the glove with depth, and his slow tempo delivery gives it time to work back out front with ease and quickness. The ball gets out of his hand with life, allowing for the sizzle on his fastball and late life on his secondary pitches. He is among the more coveted RHP in the 2013 class.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
