01/15/2010 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2010 Brian participated as a SS only at the UA Preseason All-America. He is a projectable SS with very good baseball skills and instincts. Brian has active feet, a sure glove, and he works through the ball well. His arm is quick and strong, and his throws have life and carry on them. Brian moves very well laterally, has good range, and has a sure backhand. Offensively, Brian has good balance and bat speed. His load is proper, hands are quick, and his swing is level. If Brian can get his front foot down sooner, and work to spray the ball a little more, we could see already solid grades improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
