01/15/2010 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2010 Brian is a two-way player at SS plus on the mound with a thin, athletic frame that shows projection as he continues to physically mature. Currently, he projects best at SS for the next level. Feet are quick and active as he comes gets, plays through the baseball with feet /ands. Glove action is clean, soft, and sure in making the plays as he has athletic abilities. Throws show life, carry, and accuracy across the diamond. Offensively, Pruett has quick hands that work directly to the baseball as he shows a feel for the barrel. Power is best to the pull side due to slight arm bar created in load. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 79-85 mph on a slight downhill plane. Changeup is best off speed pitch with solid sinking action. Breaking ball is average, needing further development for the next level. He attacks hitters as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Brian has potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his abilities in the middle of the IF and at the plate.
