02/01/2015 - College PREP - Houston, TX Brice is a 5'10/170 lbs LHP/OF with great athleticism, 6.64 sixty, that will graduate in 2017. Offensively, he had good balance in the box, got his hands activated to launch, and delivered the barrel on a direct path to contact. He displayed gap pop with his good bat speed and rotation of his core. In the OF, he gathered well after making plays with a soft glove and threw with momentum to his targets. He worked well on balls over his left side and with more lower half drive to throw will improve carry. On the hill, he threw a FB from 79-81, spun a 10-4 CB from 68-71, and showed fresh feel for a CH at 71-75. He was athletic with his actions on the mound, and had surprising life/deception to his pitches. Gaining more strength / control in his delivery and adding feel for his CH are essential to further development. In all - Brice is only a sophomore who appears ready for a very strong spring season.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
