03/20/2021 - All-In Membership - East Hampton (Hartford), CT Bridger is a catcher prospect in the class of 2022. He shows off a good build with a strong lower half that fits the position. Has a quick first step running his 10 yard start in an impressive 1.64 seconds. Behind the plate, he does a good job using his legs to gain ground towards 2nd base on throw downs. Has a clean arm action and strong arm that produce pop times as low as 2.09. Does a good job receiving the ball firm out front. Blocks well and shows quickness to get to his feet from the blocking position. At the plate, he uses a solid base and good intent to create loud contact. Does a good job of getting his bat on plane early in the swing. Shows off fast hands. Does a good job of getting his lower half into his swing. Shows power potential with his highest exit velo of the day at 82mph. Bridger is a good prospect with a bright future, we expect to see him playing at the next level in the coming years.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
