03/07/2021 - All-In Membership - Milton, NY Brock is a strong C/1B prospect who will graduate in 2022. At the plate, this LHH shows an advanced approach through a square setup. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and great gap to gap power (89mph exit velo). Behind the dish, Brock is quick moving to block and covers up well. He sits in a square stance and receives with a quiet glove. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate/on-line throws through the 2B bag. At 1B, Brock shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he makes on-line throws to his target. Overall, Brock is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
