12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Brodee is a 2027 1B/RHP who showcased his talents at the BF Recruiting Classic. At 1B, he has a good pre-pitch step and looks very relaxed. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot and has accurate throws with a 76 mph raw velocity. At the plate, he has a tall stance and an activated load. Brodee has a short-simple swing path that produces a lot of line drives. He is aggressive at the plate and is always trying do damage. In the games, Brodee had a pair of singles and proved to be a tough out for pitchers. On the mound, Brodee showed a lot of upside. His FB sat 78-80 mph and snuck up on hitters. He mixed that well with a CB with good break that he was able to throw for a strike. Brodee gets good separation and keeps his shoulders in line well. With several years of growth and development, we foresee that Brodee will continue to grow as both a hitter and pitcher.

12/03/2023 - National Showcase - Sacramento, CA Brodee is a 2027 1B/RHP prospect with an athletic frame at 6'0" 165 pounds. At first, he moves well pre-pitch and shows off quick feet to the baseball. He has good range and does a nice job of getting in a low fielding position. He has firm hands when fielding and a nice backhand. He has a quick exchange and is accurate to second base on throws. At the plate, he starts in an open stance and has a good approach. He has a squared stride and gets a good load. His lower half does a good job of working through the baseball and he finishes strong with his hips. He flashed hard contact with a lot of line drives. On the mound, he throws from a 3/4 slot and features a 3-pitch mix. He gets on-time separation and has a clean arm action. He does a nice job of working downhill and extending through his release point. He stays squared to the plate and keeps his eyes on his target. He showed some arm side run with the FB and his off speed offerings impressed. Overall, Brodee is definitely a prospect to keep an eye on as he continues to develop!

11/05/2023 - National Showcase - Stockton, CA Brodee is a RHP prospect who will graduate in 2027. Tall frame lean build with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. On the mound, he works with good tempo and repeats his delivery. He gathers over rubber and rotates to target. Attacks hitters with his FB that sits 75-78mph with tailing action. Mixed in an 11/5 shaped breaking ball that he throws for strikes and a changeup that has arm side run. At the plate he starts with a tall and open stance. Starts with a small hand load and tracks well. Hit line drives consistently with a bat exit velocity up to 74mph during BP. As he continues to develop and mature, we see him having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
