06/20/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sioux Falls, SD Brodee continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works around ball but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to he pull side. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to get stride foot down sooner to work on time. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 80 mph. Fastball shows a range of 78-80 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains are speed on his changeup with arm side run / sink. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

06/10/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Rapid City, SD Brodee showed a spike in velocity (65 MPH), exit velocity (74 MPH), and ran his fasted 60 time (7.40 seconds), during his last workout. At 3B, Brodee has good pre-pitch actions, playable hands and feet, and he makes plays on balls hit his way. He keeps the ball in front of his body, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a 3/4 arm slot across the diamond. On the mound, Brodee has a balanced delivery, he separates his hands on time, and he gets good extension on his pitches. Offensively, Brodee has a crouched stance, a square stride, and a level swing path. He hits with strength to the pull side and taps into some lower body. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Brodee is a coachable RHP/3B prospect who plays the game hard. On the mound, Brodee works with good tempo and pitches to contact. He has a balanced delivery throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. Brodee has a stiff arm action and cuts off his release. He stays square to home plate and can benefit from a longer stride. Offensively, Brodee has a square setup with his weight in the back of his stance. He has an aggressive approach and repeats his swing. Brodee has a load with an open stride. He shows explosive bat speed with a long swing path. Brodee is a line drive type hitter who can drive the ball to the pull side. In the field, Brodee plays with effective footwork and tracks the ball well. He presents his glove and fields the ball in a square position. Brodee has a clean exchange leading into a short arm action. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot showing consistently online throws across the diamond. Overall, Brodee is a well-rounded prospect who has a versatile skill set.

08/17/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Sioux Falls, SD Brodee is an athletic, 2-way player who pitches and plays 3B. On the mound, Brodee has good balance, a compact delivery, and a clean arm circle. He has good glove side lead, a controlled landing toward home, and he competes in the zone with his pitches. At 3B, Brodee gets in a good ready position, hands and feet are playable, and he makes routine plays on balls hit his way. Offensively, Brodee has a tall set-up, good separation, and direct hands to the ball. He hits from a firm front side and can work the ball to the opposite field. Brodee can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
