Mayberry is a hard worker who has a solid/projectable frame (6'2"/205). Behind the dish, he sits in well presenting a low/soft target as he tracks pitches in well. He works hard laterally to body-up/center pitches in the dirt off of his chest as he creates a good angle to keep the ball in front. Transfer is clean with accuracy on his throws down to 2B - pop times now at 2.27. At the plate, Brodie displays a balanced/quiet setup with patience waiting for a pitch he likes. Swing is on-plane with the pitch as he engages his lower 1/2 and hits the ball where it's pitched, spraying it to all parts of the field. Mayberry has a ton of upside and will only continue to improve over the next couple of years.

Brodie continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.30 runner. At the plate is where he has improved the most, now displaying solid hitting/power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a shorts direct swing path, creating extension. He has strength (84 mph exit velocity) in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. Behind the plate, feet are active as he works in line through a clean transfer/exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times show a range of 2.40 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a squared setup and presents a soft mitt out front and utilizes his body through the blocking process but will benefit by working to get body down sooner. Brodie has a bright future in this game and we look forward to seeing what the future holds.
