07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (MS) Brody is a 2027 RHP/1B prospect who recently showcased his skills at the National World Series at the JRTC. At first, he does a nice job of getting on the balls of his feet pre-pitch and shows off smooth footwork. He makes agile movements to all angles and squares the ball up when fielding with hands out in front. He makes accurate throws to his targets with a loose arm action and a power arm. He recorded a raw velo of 81 MPH, greatly improving on previous marks. At the plate, he starts in an athletic, open stance with high, loose hands and gets a squared, short stride to the pitcher. He has fluid movements in the box and shows a ton of strength. He has a firm frontside with his lower half and an on-plane, athletic swing with fast bat speed. He hunts pitches to hit early in the count and really competes in his at-bats. He recorded a max exit velo of 78 MPH and reached base in 6 of 7 game plate appearances with a double, two singles, and 3 walks. On the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 slot and shows off impressive arm whip. He gets fluid separation and has a loose arm action. He does a good job of rotating to his target when finishing. He ran his FB up to 80 MPH and works hard to get downhill with his off speed pitches. He struggled to find the strike zone at times but allowed only one hit in 2 innings of game action. Overall, Brody flashed a lot of potential and talent and we are excited to see more of him as he enters his freshman year of high school this fall!
