01/17/2025 - 2025 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Brody continues to showcase a promising future with his baseball abilities. At first base, he displays smooth, fluid actions with active footwork and proper positioning around the bag, making him a quality receiver. His hands are clean and present well out front, while his lateral movement improves as he enhances his foot quickness. His throws are accurate with strong carry to his target. At the plate, Brody sets up in a squared stance, utilizing quick hands that generate bat speed through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, driving it to all fields with gap-to-gap power potential. As he refines his lower-half mechanics, his power will continue to develop. On the mound, his arm strength has shown significant improvement, reaching a top velocity of 79 mph, with his fastball sitting between 74-79 mph. His breaking ball features an 11/5 shape with gradual break, while his changeup maintains arm speed with slight sinking action. He aggressively attacks hitters and consistently throws strikes with all his pitches. As he continues developing his arm strength through a long toss program, his stock on the mound will continue to rise.

11/03/2024 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Brody is a strong and physical player in the 2028 class. At 1B, he has great bag awareness and provides an easy target for his defenders. He presents his hands out in front on ground balls and has a clean exchange helping him make accurate throws. At the plate, Brody utilizes a simple load and toe-tap that produces consistent solid contact. He has continuously proven that his strength allows him to drive the ball with authority. On the mound, he shows good direction through his target and throws off a stiff front leg. His FB had a some cut action to it. His CH was his best pitch this day, showing good deception and command of the pitch. It will be exciting to see how Brody continues to develop on both sides of the ball in the future!

12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic Brody is a tall and strong 5 ft 10/210 1B/RHP in the 2028 class. He recently impressed scouts with strength and powerful actions at the West Coast Winter Classic. In the field, he is a strong target for his defenders. He has pocket awareness and the ball sticks to his glove. Stays in his legs well and gains a quick high 3 qtr. slot with life and carry. On the mound, he engages his lower half well and likes to work both sides of the plate. He shows a great feel for pitching and gets ahead in the count. Performed well in 2 innings of work with 5 total K’s. His 74-5 FB demonstrated a cut action in the bottom half of the zone. His CB had 11-5 shape and alate breaking feel at 64-8. His CH was used occasionally and showed sink and deception at 70. At the plate, the ball simply jumps off the barrel. In every at-bat, he generated hard and loud contact, highlighted by a 2 run double off the fence in his 1st at-bat. He stays quiet and uses his body well for a 2028 player. Overall, Brody is a player to watch in the 2028 class.

12/03/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Brody is a RHP/1B who will graduate in 2028. Medium frame stout build with strength present. At 1B he starts with a pre-pitch routine and works to close distance on batted balls. He fields from a low fielding position with a good glove angle. Made on-line throws to all bases from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 73mph. On the mound he has a simple and repeatable delivery. Gets to a good balance position and separates his hands on-time. Has a controlled landing and is square to his target. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 73mph, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball, and a changeup with good movement that he throws with FB arm speed. At the plate he hits from an athletic and closed stance. Takes an aggressive swing and has natural juice in swing. A short barrel enables him to hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 78mph. With 4 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Brody having a good high school career and beyond.

09/10/2023 - National Showcase - Oklahoma City, OK Brody is a 2028 RHP/1B prospect from Lawton, OK. At first, he does a nice job of getting in a ready position pre-pitch and works hard to have efficient movements to the baseball. He does a good job of keeping the ball in front and making all the routine plays. He does a great job of spinning glove side on double play balls. He has a clean exchange and a short arm action on the infield, and works hard to make accurate throws to his targets. At the plate, he starts in a tall, squared stance with a short stride toward the pitcher. He does well to keep his balance centered through contact and gets some out of his lower half. He gets good extension on his swing with a high finish and makes hard contact, displaying some natural juice. On the mound, he throws from an overhand slot and features a 3-pitch mix. He gathers his balance over the rubber and shows off a quick arm action. He stays squared to the plate on his delivery and does a great job of keeping his eyes locked on his target. He has a controlled landing and puts in effort to work downhill. He finishes with his chest over his front knee. His FB reached a max velo of 70 MPH and he is very coachable on the mound. With a lot of baseball out in front, Brody is definitely a prospect to keep an eye on as he continues to develop!

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
