06/10/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Rapid City, SD Brody is an athletic, 2-way player who catches and plays 1B. Behind the plate, Brody has firm hands, he holds a low target, and his feet are quick. He has good balance, a clean exchange, and Brody has a loose arm action to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 2.77 seconds. In the INF, Brody has good pre-pitch actions, he centers the ball well, and the ball sticks to his glove. He takes good angles, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a high 3/4 arm slot to his target. Offensively, Brody has an athletic set-up, a short/square stride, and good balance. He has a quiet set-up, he swings aggressively, and makes consistent contact. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
