12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Brogan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. He did show on the mound for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls out front. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.19 with accuracy / carry (80 mph velocity) on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 2 for 6. On the mound, Fastball showed a range of 70-74 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

11/13/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - New Orleans, LA Brogan is a C/3B prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame athletic build with strength present. Behind the plate, Brogan starts in a relaxed position, with an easy sit, and tracks pitches well. Works with good direction towards second base as he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. Made accurate throws to second base with an arm velocity up to 78mph and a best pop time of 2.28 seconds. Good collapse on his blocks and showed ability to smother baseballs. At 3B, showed ability to make routine plays, with active footwork, and ability to cover ground in all directions. He works from right to left and fields from a square fielding position with his hands out front. Has a good glove angle, with a clean transfer, and has a short arm stroke. Made accurate and on-line throws across the diamond. At the plate, he hits from a crouched and even stance. Has a direct/compact barrel path with ability to deliver the barrel. Sprayed balls consistently to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph during BP. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Brogan making huge strides on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
